Ready for the (Miami) sun
I love welcoming March with open arms. It’s the best month because it’s when spring officially kicks off. This year it lands on March 20 and there are so many fun trends to try this season. Whether you’re soaking up the sun on a beach for spring break, heading out to a music festival like Coachella or just hitting up a stylish venue for dinner with friends, there are plenty of options. Here is my top trio of trends to try this month.
Pastels and sorbet
One thing I love about spring is of course spring break. I love hitting up the beach with friends. This season, pastels and sorbet tones rule the real runway. Plus, citrus tones are major. The best thing about the wide palette of hues is that you can mix them all together. You can find me soaking up this trend in a San Lorenzo bikini!
Frenzy of florals
I have an affinity for flowers and the fact that the floral print is on everything this season is so exciting. If you haven’t already, you’ll be seeing it on dresses, tops, pants and bags. I love that designers are showing us that we can don the print from head to toe too. (Talk about statement making). One must-have is definitely a floral blazer. You can accessorize it with so much and dress it up or down. I scored mine at Forever 21. It looks adorable with a cute peplum dress to wear at night. For a more casual look, you can combine it with denim and a classic tee. Now that’s what I call an investment piece.
Bringing on the bold jewelry
Skip the dainty baubles this season and go bigger and brighter. Gems in this style are amazing for taking a plain outfit and revamping it to have some va va voom factor. I’m donning pendants by Miami designer N&K Designs.
