No more high heels for Sarah Jessica Parker!

Sarah Jessica Parker might be known for her Manolos, but not anymore: Her signature footwear ruined her feet!

We always kind of assume that doctors are just being overly cautious when they preach about the negative effects of high heels. Turns out they’re right — at least when it comes to actress Sarah Jessica Parker.

The former Sex and the City star recently told Net-a-Porter that her love of high-heeled shoes has permanently damaged her tootsies — and now her doctor will only let her wear sneakers and boots.

“For ten or so years, I literally ran in heels. I worked 18-hour days and never took them off. I wore beautiful shoes, some better made than others, and never complained,” the fashion lover told the retailer magazine.

The mother of twins and son James first learned of the problem when she twisted her ankle on the set of I Don’t Know How She Does It.

“I went to a foot doctor and he said, ‘Your foot does things it shouldn’t be able to do. That bone there…. You’ve created that bone. It doesn’t belong there.’ The moral of the story is, the chickens are coming home to roost,” she continued.

“It’s sad, because my feet took me all over the world, but eventually they were like, ‘You know what, we are really tired, can you just stop — and don’t put cheap shoes on us?'”

That’s it — we’re wearing flats from now on!
