How to crochet a witch hat for Halloween

With white yarn and 3.50 mm (E) hook

Ch 6, sl st in first ch to form ring.

R1: Ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch 2), (dc, ch 2) 7 times in ring, join with sl st to first dc. (8 dc total)

R2: Ch 7 (counts as first dc and ch 4), *dc in next dc, ch 4*, repeat 7 times, join with sl st to first dc.

R3: Ch 9 (counts as first dc and ch 6), *dc in next dc, ch 6*, repeat 7 times, join with sl st to first dc.

R4: Ch11 (counts as first dc and ch 8), *dc in next dc, ch 8*, repeat 7 times, join with sl st to first dc.

R5: Ch 6 (counts as first dc and ch 3), sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next 2 sts (picot made), * ch 11, dc in next dc, ch 3, make picot, rep from * around; join with sl st to top of first dc. Fasten off.

Sew the spider web in place.

Wear your hat, grab your broom and fly off!
