The beauty counters at Kohl’s are moving up in the world!
The department store Kohl’s recently unveiled a bigger, better beauty department in 250 of its stores nationwide and online. As a part of the expansion, it has added more than 20 new national beauty and fragrance brands to its already premium selection.
In celebration of this big step, the store recently held a trade-in event, where every two old makeup items turned in earned shoppers a $10 gift card to use in the store. Some of our favorite bloggers got to attend the event, and they had a lot to say about what went on.

“The new beauty departments at Kohl’s boast a staff of well-versed beauty advisers (who took every beauty request to heart!) as well as a bounty of prestigious brands that are otherwise impossible to find in many cities across the U.S.,” said Dina Fierro of Eye4Style.

Kara Endres of Sprinkles in Springs agreed. “There are great national brands available now and I love that you can test out the makeup in-store,” she said.

The Makeup Girl, otherwise known as Lianne Farbes, paired up with a Pür Minerals representative, and found tons of products she’s ready to try. “Sign me up!” she said of a new mask meant to cleanse your face of, well… everything!

Laurie Leopold of 312 Beauty had the chance to be an honorary beauty adviser during the trade-in event. “I love playing makeup artist and was in pretty fabulous company with the Kohl’s team,” she said.

One of the most impressive points of the new beauty department at Kohl’s is the setup. “I was also madly impressed with Kohl’s new boutique-style set up for beauty offerings,” said Amber Katz of Rouge 18. “There’s no counter (which can be intimidating), but a bevy of beauty experts are there to help you with your burning primping questions. “
