Day to evening fashion: How to make an effortless transition

How to make the easiest day-to-evening transition ever!

t

t Who wouldn’t pause time if given the chance? Until someone comes out with that smartphone app, we’ll just have to make do with the same 24 hours we’ve all been given. That’s why I’m all about finding the quickest and most efficient ways to go about my day, right down to fashion. Get ready for the most effortless day-to-evening transition you’ve ever seen!

The outfit

t Spring is just around the corner, and excited doesn’t even begin to describe what I felt when I spotted this jumpsuit at Target. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, it was marked down too! I absolutely love a good deal, so there was no question that this was coming home with me. While it seems like most of the U.S. was hit with a cold front, we certainly were not. Our afternoons have been upward of 80 degrees, so you bet your sweet cheeks our spring styles are making an appearance.

Where to wear it

t This outfit was perfect for a warm Saturday of running errands and playing soccer mom. To accomplish a day look, I combined the jumpsuit with my favorite cork wedges since they are so comfortable to walk in all day, minimal accessories and stylish aviator sunglasses. I grabbed my favorite candy-pink Kate Spade handbag, and off we went!

The transition

t To take this look from day to evening, I changed very few items. I opted for no necklace, a trendy bow ring, nude heels, a neutral belt cinched at the waist and a more glam pair of sunglasses. If your evenings are a little cooler, and you need to add some warmth to the outfit, this would also pair perfectly with brown tights and boots. Likewise, if you know you’re going to be out and about all day without a chance to stop at home before your dinner date, an outfit like this is perfect for you. Simply pack a small bag with the items you are going to swap out and you can have a whole new look in less than five minutes! No one will ever know you had a busy day and didn’t go home for a full makeover session.
