8 Fashion Week hair and makeup ideas that are actually doable

by

We see a lot of, shall we say, out there beauty looks during Fashion Week. And while they’re great for the runway, not every makeup look or hairstyle actually translates into real life. Lucky for us, these 10 do.

1. Natural makeup

Some of the most gorgeous makeup looks are the most simple. Michael Kors sent his models down the runway with matte skin, minimal eye makeup and neutral lips. The result? Stunning.

2. Colored extensions

Dip your toe into the rainbow-colored hair trend with some colorful extensions. Peter Gray, stylist for Moroccanoil, told us his inspiration for the look was the next generation of Park Avenue — sexy, tough hair with a “dirty” texture and loose waves.

3. Wet hair

Ever wish you could just run out the door with wet hair? Well, you can. Just slick it back strategically and you’ll look stylish, not sloppy.

4. Loose waves

The brains at Tresemme created these no-fuss loose waves for Narciso Rodriguez and we’re digging them for the simplicity. Just scrunch wet locks with a salt spray, let dry and you’ll be good to go.

5. Colored French manicure

Sick of the classic mani? Switch things up a bit with a cute colored tip instead.

6. Headscarves

Esther Langham for Beauty.com relied on PHYTO & T3 Tools to create this summer-ready sleek style. We love the headscarves, don’t you? Great for covering up difficult hair days.

7. Dewy skin

Dewy, glowing skin is on trend all year-round if you ask us. The key? Lots of hydration and a really great highlighter.

8. Curly ponytails

Aveda guest artist Jon Reyman created this approachable wavy ponytail, and we can definitely see ourselves whipping our unruly locks into the style on a windy day.
