Love her or hate her, Taylor Swift is one of the biggest stars in the music industry. She always brings something new to the fashion table. Whether she’s rocking high-waisted shorts during a performance or taking a stroll with her cat, Taylor Swift knows how to dress for the occasion. Wear your hair down and straight, and don’t forget the classic red lipstick.

What you’ll need to cheer your way past the haters:
- Skirt (Forever 21, $13)
- Top (American Apparel, $26)
- Shoes (Target, $15)
- Iron-on letters (Walmart, $6)
This costume requires some quick DIY craft work. The first step is to iron the letters onto the top to create the TS shown in the picture above. The second step is to iron the ribbon onto the skirt and shirt to create the stripes. Put your hair up in a high ponytail and tie some of your extra ribbon around it. Apply your red lipstick and you’re ready to shake it off.

What you’ll need to debut your new single at the VMAs:
- Top (eBay, $17)
