There’s something that always makes me feel good about repurposing something old into something new. Instead of tossing an out of style T-shirt or knit dress, why not turn it into a pretty headband instead?

I found these three T-shirts at my local thrift shop for about $10 (for all three) and made three pretty headbands from them.
Simple DIY T-shirt headband
Let’s start with the simplest of the three in a coral print. You can throw this over a messy side pony like I did or pair it with workout gear for the gym.
Step 1:
Cut a strip of fabric from the body of the T-shirt — twice the width you want it and a comfortable length around your head.
Step 2:
Fold it end to end and sew ends right sides together by machine or hand.
Step 3:
Turn it right side out and fold. You’ve got yourself a chic little headband.
