October may have been adopt-a-dog month, but don’t let that stop you from adding a pet to your family now. There are always dogs that are in need of a good home, and you can adopt a dog at any time. Just look at these cute faces from the Humane Society of New York and try to say otherwise.

Say hi to Manny and Baby Boy. Manny is a purebred Chihuahua with a really big personality. Baby Boy is also a purebred Chihuahua. He has a cute little red nose and a need for an owner who will teach him to come out of his shell. He’s a little mischievous, but very smart.
Brad

Brad is a sweet and happy dog. He is a pit bull terrier, mastiff mix. He’s even house trained! He is also neutered and up to date with shots. He would make a great companion for your afternoon jogs and Sundays at the park.
Tabitha

Little Tabitha needs some help building up her confidence but she’s a young and robust pup. She loves to eat treats and watch cars go by outside the window. She’s fairly small, only 25 pounds, and a Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier mix. A great size no matter where you live.
Demi

After sweet Demi recovers from some surgery at the Humane Society she would love a quiet home with lots of comfy places to rest. She is a purebred Chihuahua that is already spayed and up to date with shots. Wouldn’t she make a great shopping buddy?
Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn may not be best with kids or other dogs but she would make a great companion for someone who has a calm living environment for her. She’s also not a fan of cats, but if you do have the room for this terrier and hound combination she’ll make a great pet. Also spayed and up to date with shots, this bright and docile dog is ready to take home.
Ralph

This upbeat, extremely lovable guy loves people! The more attention the better. He loves treats, massages, and the outdoors too. However, he needs a little extra help because he has a thyroid abnormality and can have seizures. He requires daily medication and it would be best if he lived where someone is always home to keep him company. He is house trained and up to date with shots. Take him home today!
