How to make your own bubble bath

Bubble baths are just about every woman’s dream — and it seems we never have the time or the bubbles! If you make your own bubble bath from ingredients already in your home, you are much more likely to indulge more often. Bubble baths are great to relax to, and you can customize them according to what your body needs.

Homemade bubble bath

Ingredients:

  • Shampoo
  • Liquid soap
  • Milk
  • Honey

Directions:

Mix 1/2 cup of shampoo with 1/2 cup of liquid soap; add 1/2 cup of milk and 2 tablespoons of honey. Add the mixture to your bathwater as the tub is filling. This bubble bath will not only give you foam and bubbles, it is very rich in natural ingredients which are soothing and hydrating to the skin. If you want additional scent, you can add vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon. You can add sea salt to relax your muscles, or even some oil for hydration. Keep the water hot, as it will cool down gradually.

Set the mood

A bubble bath is not an ordinary bath or just another shower, it is time for you to relax. So, prepare a towel and light up some candles if you would like. You can scrub your feet while in there, or simply close your eyes. Play some soft music in the background and allow your body and your mind to get a break!

Suggested playlist

  • John Legend: “Ordinary People”
  • Sade: “Smooth Operator”
  • John Mayer: “Free Fallin'”
  • Norah Jones: “Don’t Know Why”
  • Diana Krall: “Autumn Leaves”
  • Sarah McLaughlin: “In the Arms of an Angel”
  • The Fray: “Never Say Never”

Mix it up with scents and music. Just be sure to relax and enjoy yourself.
