5 Beauty essentials for your gym bag

When you’re carrying your gym bag to and from your workouts, you want to make sure you have only what you need to keep your bag light. Check to see if these five handy essentials are in yours.

We all get sweaty and have to freshen up after a workout at the gym. Here is a carefully edited list of gym bag-friendly beauty goods you should pack in your gym bag.

Cleansing cloths

When you work out during your lunch hour, sometimes taking a shower isn’t an option because it’ll take too much time. A quick way to wash up after a class is with a pre-moistened cleansing towelette. Simply swipe your sweaty face (and your armpits if you need to), and you’ll instantly feel fresher.

BB cream

It’d be a drag to bring your moisturizer, primer, foundation and luminizer with you to the gym (unless you want carrying your gym bag to be a workout in itself by packing it with as much as possible!). Tuck a BB cream into your bag instead. This multi-tasking product will do all of those jobs. Get one that contains sunscreen, and you can eliminate that from your bag too.

Lip balm

If you’ve been working out in the sun or wind, your lips may be parched at the end of it (sipping water during your workout can dry them out as well). Keep them from becoming dry and flaky by reapplying a lip balm. Invest in a tinted version with SPF so you get UV protection and a colour pick-me-up at the same time.

Body moisturizer

If you’ve got time to shower after exercising, you’ll want to moisturize your skin while it’s still slightly damp. Since you may be in a rush to get back to the office if you’ve worked out during your lunch break, consider using something speedy like a spray lotion for the quickest application.

Dry shampoo

You may not want to shampoo your hair after exercising until you get home, but if your workout was more vigorous than you expected and your hair is sweaty and greasy, dry shampoo can be a godsend. Get a spray version so you can apply it to your roots in a jiffy, and then work it through your hair with your hands or a brush.
