6 Celebrity hair looks we love

With all the red carpet award shows we’ve seen, we can’t help but have celebs on the brain. Here are some of our fave celebrity hairstyles for the year.

Cropped, side-swept style

Award winner Anne Hathaway cut off her flowing brown locks for her role in Les Misérables, and her new short do is garnering loads of attention this year. Growing out the pixie cut, she now has a super-cropped, edgy yet classy style, and the side-swept part is so feminine and chic. We love it.

Messy side braid

Without having to reach for the scissors and change your do completely, you can achieve Blake Lively‘s new favourite look: the messy side braid. Why do we love this? It’s messy and easy to do, and it still looks fabulous. What more could we ask for? Plus, it totally keeps unruly locks out of your way, and the summer heat can’t ruin this look.

Pixie cut

Charlize Theron hit the Oscars red carpet with a super-short haircut, and as usual, she looked smashing. The extra-edgy style is gaining more popularity this year. If you have the guts to chop off your locks, this sexy, super-trendy style could be right for you. You can go for Charlize’s classy take on it or Pink’s and Miley’s rocker-chic effect.

Glamorous waves

Doutzen Kroes, the Dutch Victoria’s Secret supermodel without a single, visible flaw, shows you can never go wrong with the classics. The bombshell’s voluminous, flowing waves are nothing other than elegant and classy. Take your cue from Doutzen, and get your volume on this spring.

Low knot

Buns, step aside! There’s a new hairstyle in town. Emma Watson is one of the celebs who have done it best. Instead of the usual bun, the actress opted for a low-knot hairstyle at the premiere of her Spider-Man flick.

Heavy bangs

It might just be our obsession with New Girl talking here, but we can’t get over Zooey Deschanel‘s heavy bangs, which frame her face just right. Long, thick bangs can definitely be a lot of work (hello, biweekly maintenance!), but the look is absolutely stunning. Plus, it’s a style that can easily be grown out, so when you’ve had it with bangs, you can get rid of them in just a few short weeks.
