Mow a lawn
Nobody likes mowing lawns, but you can save yourself some money if you don’t need to pay someone else to do it.
Mow your lawn like a professional
- Get a lawnmower.
- Read the manufacturer’s instructions so you know how to operate it safely. (You don’t want to lose any digits in the process.)
- Don’t wear baggy clothing. Long pants and heavy shoes are your best bet, and get a good set of earplugs to prevent damaging your hearing.
- Check the lawn for debris (dog bones, rocks, kids’ toys, sticks, etc.).
- Mow in columns so it looks professional.
- Go over any missed parts.
- For a healthy lawn, never mow more than 1/3 of grass height.
