Ride a bike
Riding a bike is a great way to exercise and a cheap mode of transportation. If you learned when you were younger, then it should be relatively easy.
Tips for learning to ride a bike
- Find a safe place to practice, like a park with short grass, and with no obstacles.
- Wear the correct safety gear.
- Know where the brakes are (very important if you need to stop in a hurry).
- Dress appropriately — avoid long skirts or baggy pants that might get caught in the chain.
- Get on the bike, and make sure your feet can touch the ground if you feel like you are going to lose your balance.
- Once you’re more confident and know the road rules, you can take your cycling to the streets.
