Run in high heels
Sometimes a girl just needs to be able to run in high heels, whether it’s to cross a busy road, avoid missing a bus or to escape a would-be attacker.
Tips for running in high heels
- If you break out in a sweat just thinking about exercise or have dodgy ankles, do not attempt to run in heels. In case of an emergency, it’s probably better to kick them off and run in bare feet rather than risk face-planting.
- You must be confident walking in heels and have good balancing skills before you attempt to get up to speed.
- Low heels, chunky high heels and heels with good ankle support are easier to run in. Try to avoid having to break into a trot while wearing stilettos.
- Start out slowly to allow your body to adjust.
- Pay attention to the surface you’re running on, and don’t even bother to try to run on grass — it’s a recipe for disaster.
