The 2014 Golden Globes saw quite a few fearless looks, and we would like to applaud them. We’ve rounded up the red carpet gowns that inspired us.
Like most award shows, the Golden Globes brings out the most beautiful in all celebrities. From the dresses and the shoes to the accessories and the manicures, the stars spare no expense or imagination!
This year, instead of pitting the best-dressed against the worst-dressed, we figured we’d take a look at the most inspiring red carpet looks of the night.

The Good Wife actress Julianna Margulies looked stunning in this black Andrew Gn gown with gold detailing. We found this look striking, especially the contrast between her skin tone and the darkness of the dress’s fabric.
Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren (right)
Boom! This was one of our favourite looks of the entire night. The contrast between Lupita Nyong’o’s skin and the bright colour of the Ralph Lauren gown is incredible. She looked beautiful!
Kate Beckinsale in Zuhair Murad (left)
Kate Beckinsale is always inspiring, and she looked just like a silver Roman carved statuette in this Zuhair Murad gown. The dress fit her perfectly.
Amy Adams in Valentino (right)
We’re pretty sure everyone’s jaws collectively dropped when Amy Adams stepped out on the red carpet. This Valentino number was sexy and striking; it suited Adams so well. We couldn’t stop staring!

Michelle Dockery in Oscar de la Renta (left)
The always-beautiful Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery looked ultra feminine in this stunning Oscar de la Renta gown. The light shade of the dress brought all the focus up to her face, which was gorgeous.
Taylor Schilling in Thakoon (right)
Whether or not you like the lace, the colour of this Thakoon gown is absolutely beautiful. The dress is simple, reminiscent of the 1920s and looked perfect on Taylor Schilling. Don’t hate, people.
The gorgeous pregnant trio
We couldn’t resist! Rocking the red carpet whilst pregnant must be difficult, but these ladies definitely pulled it off. Drew Barrymore looked adorable in this Monique Lhuillier gown, Olivia Wilde looked smokin’ hot in Gucci, and Kerry Washington looked chic in Balenciaga. Way to go, mamas-to-be!
