At a time when women were typically kept out of the boardroom, Karren turned BCFC around from the £700,000 purchasing price to sell it for £82 million in 2009. Considered one of the “100 Most Powerful Women in Britain” and among the “50 Most Inspirational Women” in the U.K. there is no denying she is a strong role model for women who want to maintain both a career and family.
