10 Australian home decor blogs you should be following

6. Ish and Chi

Adorable might not even begin to describe what’s going on in this clever and quirky blog. Ish and Chi, started by interior designer Vivian Panagos, began humbly as she was buying a new house and decorating her son’s room as a new mother. Thus, a cute little blog was born from this source of personal inspiration. Now Viv continues to blog about all the fun stuff related to interior design, with a special emphasis on decoration and style. We suggest starting with one of Viv’s projects, like learning to make your own gift wrap, to get a taste of what the blog is all about.

7. Katrina Chambers Life & Design

Mom of three boys and a self-proclaimed Instagram addict, Katrina’s fresh and fun blog aims to share with us pieces of her life. While Katrina’s main focus is on interior design and DIY, she also has a great little feature called Stunning Sunday, which is essentially the most gorgeous kind of house porn that you can find on the Internet. Her blogger street cred speaks for itself: Katrina is a licensed real estate agent and is also known for her appearances on Australian TV.

8. Paint Me White

Sandy is the blogger on this beautiful blog that leaves us wanting to paint everything we own white. She is passionate about upcycling furniture and turning old or unused items into something spectacular. Her style is a mixture of rustic, beachy and shabby. With an incredible eye for detail, Sandy can turn almost any tired item into a new treasure. She worked magic with this old hallstand and gave it a second life.

9. Shannon Fricke

Who better to blog about home decorating and interiors than the author of a book titled How to Decorate? Shannon always seems to have so many exciting new projects going on, including a line of bedlinens. She is a well-known designer, television presenter and author who loves to share her passion for decorating. Her down-to-earth approach makes everyone feel that they can easily change their space. Even Shannon’s beautifully photographed personal stories, like her trip from the U.S. to Byron Bay, can give you new (and enviable) ideas for your bedroom decor.

10. The Happy Home Blog

Blogger and mother of four Belinda brings us The Happy Home Blog from a friend to a friend. Since its inception in 2007, Belinda’s blog has remained warm, inviting and unassuming — with a special focus on crafting, renovation and interior decor. If you’re feeling a little bored and need a DIY project to get you by until next week, Belinda has plenty to choose from (that you’ve probably seen circulating on Pinterest before). These stenciled gold leaf and glitter balloons are an adorable kid-friendly project you can tackle in a few hours.
