Christmas candy foot scrub

Do you have a few spare candy canes lying around? It’s time to put them to good use by packaging them up into a fresh foot scrub that’s almost good enough to eat.

Everyone loves a bit of pampering and what better way to reward tired feet after a day spent shopping than with a refreshing peppermint foot scrub?

This foot scrub takes a little bit of Christmas and turbo charges it into a luscious gift for yourself or a friend.

Supplies:

  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of baby oil
  • 6 candy canes, blended into a fine sand (optional)
  • A few drops of peppermint essential oil
  • A few drops of red food colouring
  • A medium-sized glass jar

Instructions:

1

In a medium-sized bowl, mix the sugar with the oil until a comfortable consistency forms. If the mixture looks too dry for your liking, put in a little more oil. If it looks a bit wet, simply add a bit more sugar. Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil and stir well to combine.

2

Divide the mixture in half and mix a few drops of red food colouring in one half.

3

Then, layer the white and the red scrub mixture into your chosen jar to create a striped effect. Press down each layer as you go to help keep the scrub in place.

4

Tie with a ribbon and gift to a good friend who needs a little bit of indulgence this Christmas!
