Many of the designers stocked by Made590 have a strong graphic design influence and the lines carried in-store are select, unique and oftentimes a one-off. Based in Manchester, independent fashion label Not For Ponies stocks a large range of quirky products, including women’s clothing and jewellery, menswear and adorable mini t-shirts for the little ones. We also have it straight from the horse’s mouth (or rather, from the Director, Beckie Andrews) that Not For Ponies has become well-known for its cheerful statement t-shirts and sweaters that have a tendency to make people smile. Kinki Gerlinki is an independently-owned label with a love of bright colours, loud prints and all things that shimmer. All designs are developed at the Kinki Headquaters in Melbourne and customers can expect some fun perks both in-store and online, from sales to knickers (yep, knickers) give-aways! Put simply, Kinki Gerlinki is a fashion destination for the fearless customer. As online manager Jessica Olanda says, “Despite what others may say there are no rules in fashion. Wear what you love and don’t be afraid to make a statement.”

Currently available online and in select boutiques worldwide, Manchester-based Me&Yu is a small fashion label with big creativity. Me&Yu “create clothes made with love that you’ll love to wear”, says designer/owner Angie Hulme. Designs are inspired by animals, imaginary worlds, symbolism and inspiring quotes. The core-range of products is made up of unisex t-shirts and sweatshirts, with some limited edition handmade items for guys and girls, as well as a range of accessories. All designs are screen-printed by hand, which means that no two are the same! And we have some great news: Me&Yu will be coming to Sydney around mid-September 2013! We can’t wait!

Okay so we’re a little in love with Australian-owned store the Gingerbread Shop. With some designs made by the team and some of them specially chosen, the Gingerbread Shop has a great selection for both guys and girls. For the ladies, think printed knits, vintage polka dot pieces, retro dresses, floral skirts and amazing high-waisted pants. And for the guys?
