Hotel de Glace, Quebec, Canada

You can’t get any cooler than the Hotel De Glace. It’s the only hotel in North America made from snow and ice. With 44 rooms, including theme rooms, you can choose to experience a Nordic adventure Eskimo-style or go deluxe with a premium room complete with a fireplace and a private spa. Training sessions are provided for those who wish to spend the night, or you can just stop by for a tour or a drink at the ice bar. Packages start from around $400 per person.

Atlantis The Palm, Dubai

Located on a 46-hectare site, the Atlantis has 17 hectares of water park amusement, as well as marine and entertainment attractions, and a collection of some of the most-renowned restaurants. It boasts an entertainment centre like nothing you’ve seen before, with luxury boutiques and shops. It’s home to around 65,000 marine animals in lagoons and displays, including The Lost Chambers, a maze of underwater corridors and passageways providing a journey through ancient Atlantis. A night in the Neptune or Poseidon suites will set you back around $2450.

With stunning views, which leave you gobsmacked, and set right among the turquoise water of French Polynesia’s Bora Bora, it’s hard to fault this slice of heaven on Earth. Mardan Palace Hotel, Antalya, Turkey

The opulently-decorated Mardan Palace Hotel is located on the beautiful shores of the Mediterranean Sea in the Lara region.
