Blogger An Obsession with the Fabulous was asked to test out and review one of Aldi’s skincare products, LACURA Multi-Intensive Serum. Find out what she thought about this budget-friendly product.
A product for every woman
As a beauty blogger, I’m always testing out new and exciting products to review for my readers. More often than not, I am sent products that are either very expensive or not easily accessible for the average woman. When I was asked to trial a product from Aldi, I was honestly very surprised. I was aware the supermarket chain had a skin care range, but I did not know much about it other than the low price point.
Accessible to the average woman
Lacura is Aldi’s exclusive skin care and beauty range, which offers a wide range of affordable products. I was sent the Multi Intensive Serum to review, which is a light-textured cream/gel hybrid designed for all skin types. It contains vitamin E and vitamin C, which help to hydrate the skin, and Mimox, a leading anti-ageing peptide which helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Prevents wrinkles and fine lines
I’m at an age where I am yet to see noticeable lines, but I am very conscious of preventing them and keeping my skin hydrated. This product contains an intense moisture complex as well as macadamia oil to improve skin elasticity.
Hydrates your skin
I have to say, I was very impressed with the performance of this serum as a night-time treatment for my dehydrated skin. While the serum can be used both day and night, I opted to include this solely in my routine to really put its hydrating properties to the test.
I’m pleased to report that each morning I awoke with plump, smooth skin that wasn’t begging for further moisture, yet didn’t feel as if I had used too heavy a product. I simply applied the serum to my face and neck after cleansing. If you feel the need to apply an additional product, it’s best to allow the serum to sink into the skin first.
Did she love it?
In my opinion, the Lacura Multi Intensive Serum would be a welcome addition to many a woman’s skin care regimen. Not only does it feel lovely, it does a great job at providing hydration to my skin and leaves it feeling smoother and softer.
The best part of this product has to be the price. You can pick it up at your local Aldi store or online for a measly $9.99 for a 50-millilitre bottle. Now, that’s a product I can get on board with.
