Will you turn your heart green for the world on Valentine’s Day?

Are you up for making the planet your Valentine this weekend? Whether you already have romantic plans with a significant other or not, the Climate Coalition is asking you to make some time to share your love for the world we live in. It could be the most important Valentine you ever send.

Famous faces who feel passionately about protecting the planet have joined forces to create a very special Valentine’s message. Stars including Stephen Fry, Dermot O’Leary, Deborah Meaden, Jarvis Cocker and Meera Syal recite Shakespeare’s Sonnet No. 18 in a breathtaking 100-second film for The Climate Coalition’s “For the love of…” campaign, which celebrates all the things we love (and tend to take for granted). From wild birds to cycling to popcorn, there’s nothing in the world that won’t be affected by climate change.

In Paris in December 2015 leaders from 196 countries will meet to sign a new climate change agreement. The decisions they make will affect us all, which is why this is the time to show how much we care about the future of our planet.

So what can you do?

Share the video and spread the message on social media with #showthelove.

Create your green Valentine for someone you love. Or someone you want to educate about climate change. Or every single person you know.

Make, wear and share green hearts. Any form will do — as long as they’re green. And heart-shaped. Check out these for inspiration:
