London Design Festival can inspire you to get creative with your home decor

The London Design Festival is now in its 13th year and hosts around 350 exhibitions across the city, some of which feature hundreds of designers and creative brands from all over the world. Even if you can’t make it to any of the shows in person you can take inspiration from the hottest trends in home furnishings and decor to give your space a style update.

1. Invest in a structured bed

Roberto Lazzeroni’s structured “Volare” bed is a contemporary take on the classic four-poster and is making its exclusive U.K. debut at Focus/15. (Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour; Sept. 20 to 25; free event)

2. Get doodling

English-born, New York-dwelling artist and purveyor of doodles Jon Burgerman presents his new soft furnishings collection for Kirkby Designs at Focus/15. (Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour; Sept. 20 to 25; free event)

3. Introduce curves and contours

German product designer Bodo Sperlein is exhibiting his beautiful furniture designs — alongside 400 other leading interior brands — within the historic grounds of Syon Park at Decorex International. (Sept. 20 to 23; admission £30)

4. Jazz up your tiles

Design producer Dzek brings Max Lamb’s Marmoreal to London for the first time following successful shows in Milan, Basel and Bejing. 7. Accessorise with concrete
