Horrifying attacks in Paris leave the world mourning

Update 11/14: Reports at this time say at least 120 people were killed and 180 were injured (more than half are in critical condition) in the attacks.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the massacre.

Reported 11/13: At least 43 people have been confirmed dead after what is being called three terrorist attacks in Paris this evening.

Hostages were also taken and have since been released, but France is in a state of emergency and a total state of panic, according to reports.

One attack is described as a shooting at a restaurant. In another, two gunmen entered a concert hall firing AK-47s for 15 minutes. In another attack, suicide bombers set off explosives outside a major stadium in Paris, the Stade de France, leaving several dismembered bodies in the surrounding lawn.

No threat has been confirmed to the United States, however the world is listening and sending their prayers as the details of the devastating attacks unfold.

President Obama has made a public statement saying, “This is an attack not just on Paris, not just on the people of France, but an attack on all humanity and the universal values we share.”

The world is joining in with #PrayersForParis tweets that capture the heartbreak the whole world is feeling, but none so much as what the people of Paris are feeling right now.
