How you can transform your home into the Millennium Falcon

Thanks to the surge of Star Wars-inspired home decor, you don’t have to leave the Millennium Falcon when you leave the theatre.

If you’re the kind of person who went to The ForceAwakens and then came home, brushing aside a tear as you peeled off your Chewbacca costume and returned to your civilian clothes, then the latest trend in home decor may just be for you. From Han Solo toilet seats to Millennium Falcon beds, there are plenty of ways you can transform your home into the Star Wars-inspired spaceship of your dreams.

Millennium Falcon bed

Who wants a regular bed when you could have a Star Wars bed? Kids with parents willing to cash out $3,999 on their very own bed à la Han Solo can sleep soundly in this heavy-duty contraption, which even comes equipped with its own control panel in case you need to make a quick getaway from the Brotherhood of Darkness in the middle of the night. The rest of us may be light years away from owning something this cool (or simply too long for the child-size bed, sigh), but no one can stop us from dreaming.

StarWars house

Why stop at a bed? Why not go the whole nine yards and build an entire StarWars-themed house? That’s just what Korean architect Moon Hoon did. The irregularly shaped house is loosely inspired by the StarWars trilogy, with a top floor that Hoon tellsDesignBoom is “a place high up that could be a control room for the future Darth Vader or a Jedi”or a future Princess Leia.

Decorative light sabers

OK, so maybe the $4,000 child’s bed and the house are just a little too impractical, or your significant other just doesn’t share your addiction to all things StarWars. You may want to take a little more subtle route when incorporating The Force into your home renovations. If that’s the case, you may want to whimsically install some light sabers (which you can grab at places like Target) in your home to create an unusual modern lighting installation.

Han Solo toilet seat

And you’d be amiss to neglect the bathroom. Luckily for you, you can purchase a one-of-a-kind Han Solo-inspired toilet seat on eBay. As an added perk, a StarWars-themed toilet seat may just inspire the men in your life to put the seat down.
