Hermit crabs earned their name for the way they tuck up into their shells and tote it around, but the truth is that these guys aren’t hermit-like at all! Rather, they’re very social creatures who thrive in groups. In their natural habitat on the beach, they are often seen chillin’ in groups of 100 or more.
