Everyone is talking about the shocking result of the 2016 election: Donald Trump is now set to be the 45th president of the United States. Not surprisingly, Canada is an extremely attractive option for a lot of people looking to move out of the country.

Of course, you can’t just book a plane ticket and disappear across the border. We have immigration laws, which is precisely why Canada broke the internet on Tuesday night (Nov. 8). Step aside Kardashians, we too can cause a social media frenzy.
According to Business Insider magazine, so many people are interested in moving to Canada that the government of Canada’s immigration site servers crashed.
We know, it really does sound like a bad joke.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday (around an hour and a half after it was announced that Trump had won several important states, including Michigan, Ohio, Virginia and Florida). Twitter has also been abuzz with people speaking about Canada, and apparently the phrase “move to Canada” has become very popular indeed.
It may be the new entertainment hub of the world.
More than a handful of people are looking for a place to stay.
Heck, there are some people even joking about building a compound.

It looks as though more than just a handful of celebs would like to relocate, and hey, we don’t blame you. We have Justin Trudeau, after all.
