Maybe it’s leftover from my school years, but even though the technical start of the new year is January, I still feel like Labor Day is when all the change and business really begins. That’s why it’s the perfect time to plan your travel for the year ahead, and Emirates is leaning in to that philosophy by offering some bangin’ travel deals over Labor Day weekend.
Emirates is the luxury airline that blows all others out of the water. Their in-flight entertainment system has 2,500-plus channels. Everyone gets gourmet food, wine and drinks. There’s Wi-Fi, and mobile phone and data-roaming services on board so you can make phone calls and more. Business-class customers get fancy, comfortable seats, an in-seat minibar, lie-flat seats and access to the onboard lounge.

The Labor Day travel sale, beginning today and lasting through Sept. 5, features discount fares to six destinations starting at $599 for an economy fare to Athens or $2,999 for business class.
The other destinations and fares include:
- Milan for $649 economy, $2,999 business
- Dubai for $769 economy, $5,329 business
- Bangladesh for $849 economy, $4,199 business
- Hyderabad for $899 economy, $3,899 business
- Mumbai for $799 economy, $3,899 business
There are a few restrictions, including blackout dates for certain locations.

Economy travel to Athens and Milan: Economy Class travel is valid from Sept. 6, 2017, through Dec. 18, 2017, and Dec. 24, 2017, through March 27, 2018.
Economy travel to Milan, Dubai, Bangladesh, Hyderabad and Mumbai: Travel to other destinations from the 12 U.S. gateways is valid from Sept. 11, 2017, through Dec. 7, 2017, and Dec. 29, 2017, through May 23, 2018, and travel must be completed on or before July 8, 2018.
Business-class travel to all destinations: Valid from Sept. 9, 2017, through Dec. 12, 2017, and Dec. 25, 2017, through July 8, 2018, to all destinations, and travel must be completed on or before July 15, 2018.
