Which news do you want first: the good or bad news? We’ll give you the good news first. “Pioneer Woman” and Food Network star Ree Drummond and her husband Ladd’s new hotel, The Boarding House, is officially open!
Ready for the bad news? The hotel in their hometown of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, is already booked — for six months.
According to People, when reservations opened up at the “cowboy luxury” hotel last Thursday, all eight rooms sold out in 30 minutes. The first available booking date is Dec. 12, and according to its website, bookings past March 2019 will be available soon.
“Each suite in The Boarding House is designed to make you feel right at home,” the website states, and the rooms are all appropriately named too: The boudoir is a “perfectly polished parlor” with velvet furniture and sparkly chandeliers. The butterfly room is “a soft, soothing space.” The drugstore room is clean and classic “with wood paneling [and] industrial metal furnishings.” The emerald room has gorgeous green tile in its bathroom. The photograph room has “a combination of sophistication, simplicity, and plenty of photographic eye candy,” and the prairie room and ranch room take inspiration from Snively Barn on Drummond Ranch.
But why read about it when you can take a look for yourself?

Leading up to launch of The Boarding House’s website, Ree was on-site ensuring the hotel and all its rooms were in perfect, proper shape. “We’ve been arranging, rearranging, dusting hanging, straightening and fluffing getting ready for four of our @pwboardinghouse rooms to be photographed for our website tomorrow,” she wrote on Instagram. “Then Thursday we’ll arrange, rearrange, dust, hang, straighten and fluff the other four rooms to be photographed Friday. I’m glad we only have eight rooms. I’m gonna be all out of fluff by the end of this week. (I’m better in the kitchen.) Home stretch!”

If you’re one of the lucky guests of The Boarding House, a 1920s building they’ve been renovating for the past nine months, you have the opportunity to walk three doors down and visit The Mercantile, the Drummonds’ restaurant, bakery and general store.

“It has been such a fun project from start to finish (well…some days more fun than others, ha!) and we’re so excited to be welcoming our first guests,” Ree wrote on Instagram. “We would love to see ya in Pawhuska!”
Looks like we’ll be taking a road trip to Oklahoma for the holidays!
