If you’re a regular Amazon user, you’ve probably already signed up for Prime, a yearly subscription that guarantees a two-day shipping time on tons of items on Amazon’s websites. Sometimes, it’s hard to remember what life was like before two-day shipping. And Amazon is so ubiquitous that if we didn’t want to, we could live pretty happily never leaving the house.
But just because we’re all familiar with Amazon doesn’t mean we’re taking advantage of all its perks. It turns out there’s way more to Amazon Prime than just expedited shipping. We’re missing out on saving time and money. Here are a few Prime perks you’re probably not taking advantage of.
1. Prime Music
Included in Prime membership are more than 2 million ad-free songs to stream. It’s not quite Spotify, but it’s pretty darn close.
2. Prime Reading
Read more than 1,000 books and magazines on any device. Cooking Light, People magazine, The New Yorker and O, The Oprah Magazine are just some of the monthly titles available.

3. Save up to 15 percent on groceries
Prime’s Subscribe & Save feature means you can set recurring orders for things like paper towels, toilet paper or cleaning supplies and save money too.
4. Save up to 20 percent on diapers & baby food
Amazon Family has exclusive deals for parents and guardians with little ones at home, including discounts on diapers, baby food and unlimited children’s television screening.
5. Get text messages about when your package is arriving
A quick switch of your settings, and you can get text updates about your package so you know exactly when it will arrive.

6. Try a ton of samples
This is a weird (but kind of genius) idea: Prime Samples lets you buy a box of, say, beauty product samples, and then credits you the same amount you spent toward future beauty purchases. So you can test out a shampoo or moisturizer, and if you like it, get credit toward a full-size purchase, and if you don’t, save the credit until you find one you do love.
7. Cash back
If you sign up for the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa, you get 5 percent back on Amazon purchases, and thanks to their acquisition of the company, 5 percent back at Whole Foods. The card also gives you 2 percent at restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations and 1 percent back on everything else.
8. Trade-in power
You can sell items back to Amazon that you no longer want or need, like video games, books or cell phones.

9. Earn credit for choosing no-rush shipping
Willing to wait a while for your purchase? Choose no-rush shipping, and Amazon will give you a kickback to be used on future purchases.
10. Unlimited photo storage
Constantly maxing out the storage on your phone? Upload your photos to Amazon instead — there’s no cap on how much storage you can use.
11. 2-hour shipping
Prime Now is available in select cities, and it means that a selection of items — from sparkling water to BB cream to dish soap — can be delivered to your door within two hours at no extra charge.
12. A 6-month subscription to The Washington Post
Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, also owns The Washington Post, and thanks to that link, Amazon Prime subscribers can get six months of the newspaper digital edition for free.
13. Access to Audible Channels
Audible Channels (podcastlike audio entertainment) and select audiobooks are available for free to Prime members.
14. Share Prime with your family
You can add up to two adults who are living in the same house as you to your Amazon Prime account, letting them in on free two-day shipping perks.
