If every time you see a photo of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry you can’t help but start singing, “Here Comes the Bride,” don’t worry — you’ve only got about a month left before they tie the knot on May 19. It can feel like an endless cycle of what the cake is like, what dress she might wear, who is and isn’t invited… information that feels endless, but also, we’re desperate to have.
Well, here’s another little tidbit we’ve discovered: the honeymoon destination. Travel + Leisure managed to confirm that the royal couple will be honeymooning in Namibia.

It’s not the first time the couple will be visiting the African continent together. Markle and the Prince visited Botswana and Zambia on a three-week trip to celebrate Markle’s birthday. Botswana is also where Prince Harry sourced the diamonds for Markle’s engagement ring.

Harry has been active in conservation efforts in Africa. In 2016, he spent the summer helping to move 500 elephants across Malawi to a sanctuary. He’s extremely fond of the continent, which may have something to do with going on safari with his father and brother shortly after the death of his mother. “My dad told my brother and me to pack our bags — we were going to Africa to get away from it all,” he told Town + Country in 2017. “This is where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world. I wish I could spend more time in Africa. I have this intense sense of complete relaxation and normality here.”

Markle had also spent time in Africa before her time with the royal family. In 2016, she visited Rwanda as a One World Global Ambassador to meet schoolchildren who had a clean water pipeline built for them by charity.
No confirmation yet on where the royal couple will be staying, but People reports there are rumors it might be Hoanib Valley Camp, nestled in the desert with plenty of unique wildlife.
