Cameron Diaz is very vocal about her favorite brands, which include the minimalist makeup brand Merit Beauty. If you’re in the mood to shop, you’re in luck because the brand just released a new line of lip oils that leaves lips “plump and hydrated.”
Lip oils are the best mix between a lipgloss and a lip chap, with some bonus features: They’re even more hydrating and can enhance your pout. And even though there are tons of products in the beauty space, Merit seems to nail the formula with the Shade Slicks. Each one is crafted with rosehip oil, shea butter, and jojoba oil, which work together to soften, condition, and protect the skin on your lips. The Shade Slicks have a lip oil consistency and luscious tints that shoppers love.
Now, Merit’s lip oil now comes in a new line named the gelées. “These glosses provide an ultra-sheer finish and include squalane and quinoa Seed Oil for soft and supple lips that appear smooth and have improved moisturization over time,” the brand said in a press release.

Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil in Les Deux
Les Deux is a sheer pink that is just in time for spring. It goes on smoothly and has the prettiest tint of pink that lasts throughout the day.
“This is the first time I tried the Merit lip oils, and I am absolutely loving them,” one shopper said. “I love how they are hydrating and not sticky. I think they have a great range of shades too. I love they enhance your natural lip color and make them shine. Les Deux looks super bright in the bottle, but it fades into this nice brighter pink.”

Merit’s Jeté has a sheer neutral tone, unlike its other counterparts in the new gelées family. It makes lips glossy and gives them a dose of hydration, thanks to the included jojoba oil.

When you want a lip oil that’s a classic in your makeup routine, make sure you have plenty of the Mapleton on hand. It boasts a light brown tone that works well with all skin tones.
Both Merit and Sephoraa shoppers are impressed with the lip oils. “I fell in love with this lip oil,” a Sephora shopper said. “I adore lip oils and have tried tons, but none of them have color payoff like this one. It’s the perfect hybrid between lip gloss and lip oil. I definitely will be repurchasing.”
Another wrote, “I am obsessed with these tinted lip oils! The tint last much longer than other lip oils I’ve tried. The formula is very hydrating and doesn’t feel sticky. I will be buying more of the shades. The packaging is also super classy.”
