The holidays are a busy time of year. And not just because of the school functions and seasonal parties, but there’s also the added task of getting gifts for everyone. If you’re the person who never likes to show up empty-handed to a party, this can be stressful. I, personally, always love to have something on hand that I can bring as a hostess gift. If you’re already starting to freak out, don’t panic. Below I’m sharing five last-minute gifts you can purchase this holiday season. Most of these can be bought right online and delivered directly to someone’s home, making them quick and easy options to save you the stress and hassle.
Edible Treats
You can’t go wrong with a yummy treat. Stop at a local bakery for some baked goods or maybe some chocolates. My personal favorite, bring a fancy bottle of wine wrapped beautifully in a tea towel and tied with ribbon to make it feel like you went one step further. Add it to a basket with some crackers, local cheeses, and jams. If you’re looking to gift something to loved ones afar, have their favorite sweets delivered right to their doorstep from places like Crumbl or Milk Bar. This is a great idea for college students too!
Apple Gift Card
This is a great gift for students, techies, or the digital-loving people on your list. It can be used to buy an array of books, and movies, and subscribe to many music and entertainment services. If they’re into Apple products, Apple Gift Card will also let them buy any Apple product such as AirPods or AirTags. Apple Gift Card is a great present that does it all.
Monthly Subscriptions
Give them something special to look forward to every month with a personalized subscription. There are so many monthly subscriptions now like Book of the Month, Wine of the Month, beauty boxes, you name it! Some of my favorites are Bark Box for the pet parent. For the kids, Kiwi Crate delivers a new STEM activity every month. For the one who loves to cook but maybe lives a busy lifestyle, have fresh groceries and recipes delivered with Hello Fresh. You can check out the whole list here.
An Experience
This is especially a good idea for kids who have everything and maybe don’t need any more toys or things. Instead, gift them memories. Annual passes to museums, zoos, and aquariums are a great idea for little ones. Tickets to an upcoming sporting event or concert are great for teens and sports or music enthusiasts.
Something Homemade
Homemade gifts are heartfelt and just make people feel special. There are things you can make right at home that do not take a lot of time and make great gifts. Make some Homemade Irish Cream, gift it in a pretty jar or bottle, and tie it with some ribbon. I’ll share the recipe here. Other popular gifts are homemade vanilla extract and potpourri.
Hope this list helps all my fellow procrastinators so that you can enjoy the most of your holiday season!
