I’ve spent the better half of my writing and shopping career trying, testing, loving, and sometimes hating loads of beauty products. I’ve used and seen everything, from lab-sample mascaras that would become holy grails to expensive moisturizers that were a complete waste of money. While I enjoy sharing my thoughts on products and updated formulas, continuously putting new things on my face left my skin in a really rough place (literally and figuratively). I saw breakouts more frequently, random dry patches that I’ve never had before, and don’t even get me started on the hyperpigmentation that seemed to never go away. But then, one day, I received the Daily Skin Health discovery set from Youth to the People, and everything changed.
In it was a mini version of the brand’s Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream and award-winning Superfood Cleanser. After finishing them, I immediately ordered the full-size versions without hesitation. Considering I have the privilege of being sent products, it’s extremely rare for me to go out and buy something unless I absolutely love it, and let me tell you, I LOVE them.
Youth Stacks: Daily Skin Health
Just in case you’re unfamiliar, Youth to the People is a Vegan beauty brand that uses superfood plant extracts in their products that are packed with rich nutrients to nourish your skin. The Superfood Cleanser — my favorite face wash to date — is made with antioxidants from powerhouse ingredients like kale, spinach, and green tea extract. Like how green juice can help regulate your insides, this cleanser is considered “the green juice for your face” and has helped balance my skin without leaving it dry. It’s also formulated with vitamin C to help brighten, vitamin E to lock in hydration, and alfalfa, which helps to cleanse your skin and prevent dryness.
After about a month of using the Superfood Cleanser, my skin was no longer experiencing random dry patches, and my acne breakouts weren’t as frequent. After about three months, I found that my pores weren’t as clogged as before, and my breakouts were down to a minimum, only popping up on my chin around my time of the month. From there, I was hooked and exposed myself to a whole new world of vegan skincare that has completely improved my skin.
To be honest, I could go on and on about how much this cleanser has been an MVP in my routine, but there are tons of other Youth to the People products worth raving about. Below, shop some of my favorite life-changing skincare products from Youth to the People. Trust me, they’re worth investing in this year.
Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser Refill Kit
It’s clear that I adore this face wash, so when the brand released the Cleanser Refill Kit, I didn’t hesitate for a second. It’s over $100 in value and has enough cleanser to last you for nine months (!). You won’t have to think about restocking well into next year.
Youth to the People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream
It was sometime back in 2019 when an old college friend of mine showed me this moisturizer for the first time. I just couldn’t believe that a cream so lightweight gave her such a healthy glow, so I didn’t buy it for myself until years later when I got the Daily Skin Health discovery kit. And to this day, I still kick myself over not purchasing it sooner. This new and improved Moisture Cream is formulated with hyaluronic acid, kale, and spinach extract. Not to mention, it feels light as air when you put it on. It’s a phenomenal moisturizer all year round, but especially in the summer if you tend to have combination skin and don’t want a super thick formula that feels heavy throughout the day.
Youth to the People Peptides + C Energy Concentrate
There came a time when using an eye cream was a non-negotiable in my skincare routine, and while I’ve tried plenty, this Peptide + C Energy Concentrate had everything I was looking for in one. It would hydrate and smooth the delicate skin under my eyes while brightening the dark circles I’d get from staying up too late. And since a little really goes a long way, it’s lasted me quite some time.
Youth to the People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream
The first time I tried this sleep mask was during COVID in 2021. Living in my attic apartment in New York City, I felt like my skin was constantly struggling from the dry air, dirty pollution, and testing products. It has a creamy texture that feels so soft on your skin. While it’s relatively thick in consistency, it gets absorbed by your skin instantly. It helps add hydration while combating hyperpigmentation thanks to squalane, prickly pear extract, and THD Ascorbate, a form of vitamin C that penetrates deeper than other forms of the brightening ingredient. Seriously, this stuff is so good. But if you don’t want to take my word for it that’s fine, I won’t be upset. Youth to the People has a 7-Day trial pack for free so you can see for yourself!
