As parents, we all know the daily struggle of packing a nutritious and enticing lunch for our kids. The challenge becomes even more daunting when faced with quirky eating habits — every kid goes through a picky eating stage (or several), right? One common complaint: those sandwich crusts …. ewwww (insert parent eye roll here). Luckily food makers have caught on, and pre-made crustless options have saved us on more than one busy occasion. And now there’s a new option courtesy of Target‘s Market Pantry line.

This 4-count of Frozen Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam Crustless Sandwiches (they’re also available in grape) from Market Pantry is perfect for giving your kids an easy lunch that they will actually eat — or for a quick after-school snack or even making yourself a last-second lunch on busy days. These sandwiches with a new recipe include softer bread and deliver a timeless combination of creamy peanut butter and sweet strawberry jam. They do so without any artificial flavors or high-fructose corn syrup. Each sandwich also contains eight grams of protein, and, of course, they’re made without crusts to satisfy picky eaters.

With preparation as simple as thawing one of the sandwiches and digging in, these Crustless PB & J’s make the perfect on-the-go snack or last-second meal.

Though some shoppers haven’t loved them, just as many think they are better than the more ubiquitous Uncrustables brand.

“I am a huge fan of both the grape and the strawberry flavor,” wrote a recent shopper in her 5 star review. “I actually think I like the square shape better than Uncrustables circle shape. I personally disagree with the low rating reviews, I genuinely like these better!”

At less than $4, we think it’s worth giving the Target version a try. What do you think? Let us know how your taste test goes and if your picky eater requests them again!
