I’ll admit I was definitely late to jump on the air fryer train. When they first came out, I didn’t see the hype behind it — I didn’t consider it “real” cooking. However, when I finally got to test one out almost three years ago, my mind was forever changed. To be frank, I was utterly shocked by the results. After owning and using plenty of kitchen appliances, including four air fryers, the Instant Vortex Plus has been my favorite to date — and it’s on sale right now on Amazon.

It has six functions — air fry, bake, broil, dehydrate, reheat, and roast. All of which, work really well. I will say, though, I rarely dehydrate anything — I don’t really need to, but other than that, it’s a breeze to do everything else. Best part? It’s nearly 60% off right now.

There are so many reasons to love this air fryer. You can fry potatoes or chicken nuggets in an instant. It’s also the best thing to use if you’re baking canned cinnamon rolls, as you don’t have to worry about preheating the oven or getting a whole baking sheet dirty (I’m a lazy cook if I’m being honest). And since it has a sizeable non-stick basket, you can cook more food at once or bigger items like a rotisserie chicken — and watch it all get down through the ClearCook window. I roasted two tiny cornish hens together, which came out so deliciously juicy. 

Unlike other air fryers I’ve used, this one has an EvenCrisp technology that pushes airflow throughout the entire basket so food always comes out evenly crisped, baked, or roasted the same, making it taste that much better. Its other features include an odor-erase technology that reduces lingering smells through a built-in replaceable air filter that you’ll have to repurchase, but it lets you know when it’s time to replace. It also has overheat protection and auto shut-off if it gets too hot or left on too long with nothing inside. 

Another thing to love about the Instant Vortex Plus is that it takes little time to preheat. It’s one of my favorite features compared to some toaster oven-style air fryers, as with those, it can be hard to know if and when it’s ready to add food, causing discrepancies with cooking. The Vortex Plus has a temperature range of 95 to 400 degrees, and its basket is non-stick and dishwasher-safe. 

I’m also not the only one who loves this air fryer.
