If you haven’t heard yet, Casper launched a brand-new collection of mattresses early last year. Yes, that’s right — the iconic sleep company went back to the Casper Labs to redesign its entire line of beds that we all know and love. From an easy all-foam option to a luxe cooling one with ample support the revamped mattress line is still better than ever a year later. Casper’s goal was to create beds that meet everyone’s needs, with more comfort, cooling technology, and a wider range of price points. And because we love to put things to the test here at SheKnows, we had to see for ourselves what these beds feel like. And considering we had the incredible privilege and opportunity to be among the first to try them out, we couldn’t wait to tell you — especially since they’re on sale for President’s Day this weekend.
We tapped a few of our editors and writers to thoroughly review Casper’s latest (and, dare we say, greatest?) mattresses to date. We tested the Casper Dream Hybrid, Dream Max Hybrid, and Snow Max Hybrid to see if it’s something we love (spoiler alert: we love it!). Below, find our honest thoughts and opinions on why we can’t get enough of Casper’s newest beds. And save up to 35% on them too!

Casper Dream Hybrid in Full
First, let me say the Casper Dream Hybrid Mattress is an experience that lives up to its dreamy name. This mattress offers a level of softness that feels akin to sleeping on a cloud, making it an appealing choice for those who prefer a plush surface.
As a back sleeper, I found that the Dream Hybrid did an excellent job of contouring the natural curve of my spine. If I slept solely on my back, I felt like I almost didn’t need a pillow – that’s how plush the mattress feels. The adaptive design provided ample support, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep. But where this mattress truly shines is in catering to side sleepers. Its performance accommodates cozy side-sleeping positions, like fetal or spooning with a partner, which is quite noteworthy. I don’t feel like my partner and I were sinking into the center of the bed, which can happen with other mattresses.
However, I did notice a slight sensation of sinking into the mattress when I slept alone, which might be a consideration for individuals who prefer a firmer feel. To add a broader perspective, I also had my 93-year-old grandmother test the mattress. She confirmed the softness of the bed, emphasizing its good support. But, since she is older, something firmer would be preferred. Another factor to keep in mind is temperature regulation. There are better fits for individuals who tend to sleep hot, like the Snow or Snow Max. Throughout the night, I noticed a certain warmth retained by the mattress, to the point where I didn’t need a heavy comforter to keep warm.
Overall, the Dream Hybrid Mattress strikes a beautiful balance between softness and support, making it a viable choice for side, back, and stomach sleepers.
Update: My Casper bed still holds up just as well as the day I got it! It perfectly conforms to the contours of my body, providing support and comfort without any sinking or uneven spots. I’ve noticed I don’t feel as restless at night, which has definitely improved my sleep quality. Also I tend to run hot while I sleep and I noticed the Caper bed kept me at a consistent temperature. Overall, I highly recommend the mattress if you’re looking for something that stays comfortable and supportive over time. It really does make a difference in getting a good night’s sleep.

Dream Max Hybrid Mattress in Queen
Truth be told, I had been using a Casper mattress that I actually really liked before getting this new one, so I definitely had high expectations. Thankfully, the Casper Dream Max did not disappoint. The brand describes it as a hybrid mattress designed to have a “gooey-medium feel” ideal for side sleepers (like me!), though it’s good for any sleep style.
Now that I’m in my 30s, I tend to get my fair share of little aches and pains, especially when sitting in the same position all day. Because of that, I wanted a mattress that I could fall asleep on comfortably and wake up feeling well-rested and totally refreshed — something that did not happen with mattresses prior to Casper. That said, out of all the newly launched options, I chose the Casper Dream Max because its key features offered the kind of support I was looking for — specifically, support for the hips and lower back. Not to sound like my body is completely falling apart at 30, but I also get annoying shoulder and neck pain now and then (being an adult is not easy!). So, when it comes to mattresses, I wanted one that’s on the firmer side but soft and plush enough that it’s still comfy. That’s precisely what I got with the Dream Max.
After removing the mattress from the box and laying it out (note: the mattress is VERY heavy and definitely a two-person job), I was surprised to see how fast it expanded. It looked ready to use in seconds, but I gave it a day just in case. When I finally laid on it, I didn’t want to get up. I’m pretty sure I closed my eyes and passed out in less than five minutes. Was I just tired from the day? Perhaps. But I’m not someone who can just sleep anywhere. So, I’m attributing that to the ultimate comfort of the Casper Dream Max.
Also, my parents, who are in their 60s, came over for a few days and stayed in my bed for the night. My dad, who usually gets back pain in the morning after sleeping on his back, woke up without any pain. Additionally, my mom, who feels pain in her back, hips, and shoulder whenever she sleeps on her side (What can I say? I truly am my mother’s daughter), woke up relaxed, refreshed, and pain-free. Now they want one for themselves!
Update: About a year has passed since I first got the mattress, and it’s honestly just as comfy as ever. I don’t have any issues with this sinking down in the area I usually sleep, which is an issue I’m sure many of us have had with mattresses at some point. I also haven’t had any issues with back pain, other than that time of the month where everything just hurts. Overall, I still highly recommend getting a Casper mattress if you’re able to. It really will give you the best sleep ever.
Jacquelyn Greenfield, Commerce Writer – Snow Max Hybrid Mattress
Snow Max Hybrid Mattress
I need to preface by saying I’ve always wanted a Casper mattress (biggest shout out to Casper for making my dreams come true!). I’ve been lucky enough to test out other products from the brand, like the Hyper Lite Sheets, Backrest Pillow, and the Comfy Mattress Topper. And considering how much I love the topper, I had high hopes for the Snow Max Hybrid Mattress — and I can tell you it did not disappoint.
When choosing from the new collection, I chose the Snow Max because it sounded like it had everything I needed and more. It has a medium-soft feel and an excellent combination of plushness and support thanks to its supportive coil base with three(!) levels of memory foam. The older I get, the more heavy and achy my body tends to feel, especially after working out or commuting all day (getting older is no joke!). Naturally, I love super soft and plush beds, but I still need a slight level of firmness to feel supported, and the Snow Max delivers on that.
But where the Snow Max really shined for me is its cooling technology. It’s literally heaven-sent. I live in an attic-style apartment, and if there’s anything I remember from grade school science, it’s that heat always rises. No matter what time of year it is, my bed always gets a little toasty. Before my Snow Max, I’d often wake up a hot, sweaty mess in the middle of the night. I would do everything from kicking off my comforter to stripping down bare in an effort to get cool. But this past week, I’ve had my best and breeziest sleep. The mattress is covered in a Snow Max cover and has Phase Change Material and HeatDelete Bands that remove excess body heat.
As a hot sleeper, it’s completely changed my life. I no longer toss and turn or scurry to the other side of the bed to cool off. I’ve slept soundly and comfortably in one spot without waking up in a pool of sweat (I’m not exaggerating here). And to really put the Snow Max to the test, I’ve slept with a cozy down duvet and extra blankets for the past two nights to see if I could stay cool while using warm bedding. I’m usually cold before bed, then get hot once I’m asleep. These past two nights, I’ve fallen fast asleep while being super cuddly and cozy but not overheating throughout the night.
While the Snow Max has a hefty price tag, it’s worth every penny for someone like me. Being a hot sleeper and living in a warm climate made me believe I would only get a decent night’s sleep once I moved or anytime I stayed at a hotel (again, not exaggerating!). Trust me when I say I’ve tried everything, from cooling bedding and pillows to sleeping with just a sheet in the summertime because the heat is so unbearable. I’ve never been more excited for warmer weather, so I can see how it holds up in the hotter months.
Update: After a year since having the Snow Max I’m just as in love with it now as I was then (if not more). If you’re not on the East Coast you may not know that this winter has been brutal. Because of this I keep my heat blasting throughout my apartment, as well as everyone below me. Last year, before I got the Snow Max I would’ve been sweating profusely in the middle of the night. I’ve been able to sustain a cool body temperature throughout the night without feeling super cold. But where this baby really shines is during the summer. Over the summer I finally had the best sleep of my life. I’m able to sleep with a warm blankets and still feel cool during 70+ degree weather.
