I’ve tried my fair share of hair oils, including high-end oils and ones with celebrity backing, but I never saw a difference regardless of when I applied it (post-shower, when my hair is dry, etc.). Not going to lie, when I saw the & Honey line at my local J-beauty store, the pretty packaging and delicious scent totally sucked me in. Because of that, I ended up getting the entire system, including the shampoo and deep conditioning treatment (a total must-get as well!).
Truth be told, the shampoo was fine and made my hair smell really nice. But the conditioning treatment plus the hair oil made my hair super soft, smooth, and actually shiny. I ended up swapping most of my hair care routine after one week of use. Although the products aren’t exactly drugstore price, they’re way more affordable than Kérastase’s Magic Night Serum, which I used to swear by for giving me soft, shiny hair.
If I had to recommend just one product, I’d go with the hair oil to start. The is described as a “luxurious, organic hair treatment” made to provide deep hydration and nourishment to your hair. If you have dry or damaged hair, it’s an oil that’s definitely worth trying as it’ll leave you with the softest, smoothest, and shiniest hair yet. And no, that’s not an exaggeration.
& Honey Deep Moist Hair Oil
The was purchased over 1,000 times in the past month and is getting a ton of praise from Amazon shoppers. As one wrote, “I was getting Gisou before. I have 2c hair, my 9-year-old son has 3b, and I wanted something we can both use. Gisou left us both greasy and weighed down, unless we used the smallest amount and didn’t do much otherwise. Just grease. This leaves your hair SOOOO soft and it’s lightweight. Shiny and defined without greasiness at all. And smells really good.”
Another reviewer called it “liquid gold” writing, “This smells amazing. It’s like sweet but refreshing. I have naturally blonde wavy/curlyish hair and I’ve been using it after showering with a leave-in conditioner, a little before bed on the ends and before I do my hair. It’s a little thick after pumping it out the container, so I was a bit nervous initially thinking it would be heavy or weigh down my hair. It just melts into my hair and makes it so soft. Whatever I have left over I rub into my scalp and it doesn’t seem to make my hair oily. I really love this product and would recommend it.”
One shopper even called it the best hair oil for thick and texture hair. They wrote, “Smells amazing, leaves a great shine, and the effects lasted days for me. Leaves my hair so smooth and glossy.”
& Honey Melty Moist Repair Oil
The “Melty” hair oil from & Honey provides the same frizz control and extra boost of hydration as the Deep Moist Hair Oil above. It was made to help repair damaged strands, boost elasticity, and give your hair that highly covetable smooth, glossy look. It has a “shower rose honey scent” that’s fresh, a little sweet, and just overall amazing. I’ve used this myself and have gotten so many compliments on the scent. Not only that, it really helped make my dry ends look super healthy.
I’m not the only one who adores this hair oil. As one wrote, “This works wonders. I have used the original honey one and loved it. I am now trying this and it also smells amazing, and so far, it is helping keep my frizz down after I shower. I 100% recommend it.”
Another reviewer wrote, “Simply the best oil I’ve tried. And I’ve tried tons of them. Leaves hair super soft, smells great. Hair is not frizzy. Works well for all types of hair. Get it!”
Finally, this shopper had a very smart piece of advice that we should all follow when using this, or any hair oil for that matter. “It’s a great oil!” they wrote. “I highly recommend for dry hair. But please don’t accidentally on purpose drink half a bottle of rum on an empty stomach and put half the bottle in your hair. You’ll have to shampoo it for like three to four days in a row. But dang, my hair and curls are smooooth.” Noted!
