Working in an office building in the heart of New York City can be a little unsanitary. And not in a super gross, unhealthy way, but in the like, everybody-touches-everything kind of way. As a semi-germaphobe, transitioning back into the office has been a little tricky for me since I’m constantly thinking about everywhere my hands have been. From locking my front door to holding the pole on the subway, to pushing the revolving door into the lobby, then touching the buttons to call the elevator and my floor number — I touch a lot of things before I even sit down at my desk. And when I think about it, so does everyone else *shudders in horror* — which is why the first thing I do before I can start my work day is use Aēsop’s hand sanitizer.
And I’m sure you’re thinking, hand sanitizer, really? Actually, it’s a “Rinse-Free Hand Wash,” which is the luxury Australian cosmetics brand’s way of saying hand sanitizer — but yes, really! Because if I’m being honest, I don’t really like hand sanitizer to begin with. The usual ones are filled with skin-drying ingredients and smell as if you sprayed rubbing alcohol as perfume. But Aēsop’s rinse-free hand wash is different. It’s not just another regular sanitizer on the market. It’s a unique blend of moisturizing ingredients and a pleasant scent that sets it apart from the rest. After using it a handful of times (no pun intended), I gravitated to this more than other products I have.
Resurrection Rinse-Free Hand Wash
Unlike other hand sanitizers I’ve used, Aēsop’s rinse-free hand wash is surprisingly very moisturizing. Even though it’s made with alcohol, my hands aren’t left feeling uncomfortably dry and tight. The rinse-free wash thoroughly cleans my hands without drying them out, thanks to the rich oils of orange, rosemary, and lavender. Plus, it smells really good — almost too good to be a hand sanitizer, which only makes me use it more. Not to mention, I love the way it looks.
Like other Aēsop hand products, the rinse-free wash comes in the signature brown-hued round bottle that’s simple with a minimalist design. I appreciate that it’s not encased in a loud-colored bottle or has an obnoxious scent to follow. But what I love most about it is its convenience. I try to keep one in my purse, but I always keep one on my desk in the office so I can clean my hands immediately before I sit down. It’s a must-have in any office setting, and since it’s only $10, it’s a no-brainer.
