You know how Margot Robbie’s Stereotypical Barbie wakes up in the beginning of the Barbie movie to “Pink” by Lizzo, and the whole world is bright and colorful, and all her friends are waving and smiling because it was a perfect day? Drinking out of my new Barbie x Stanley cup felt kind of like that. I got compliments everywhere I went with the new 40-ounce Barbie Icon Quencher, which is on sale now for $60, and I’ve never been more excited about getting hydrated!
The gorgeous Stanley cup is in Barbie pink (duh!) and covered in sparkles. (It just happened to match my manicure, too — it’s a Barbie Girl thing.) A pink cursive “Barbie” is written on the side of the cup, right under the Stanley logo. And under the two-tone pink handle, a cut-out Barbie silhouette peaks through. The matching hot-pink lid and straw complete this cup, which comes packaged in a stunning hot pink Barbie box — just like the iconic doll! It is seriously adorable, and (spoiler alert!) it even comes with exclusive Barbie x Stanley stickers to customize the cup.
Every Barbie needs to stay hydrated, so I filled my cup with ice and water and spent the weekend running errands, going shopping, and meeting my sisters for dinner. (Ok fine, I was just finding excuses to flaunt my new Stanley. But can you blame me?!)
Everyone from Starbucks baristas to moms at the playground to Target cashiers noticed my new cup, and I loved showing it off. It sparked conversations with other people who admire pink and female empowerment — you know, everything Barbie represents — and it made my sisters extremely jealous, so that’s a win in and of itself.
Barbie x Stanley 40-ounce Icon Quencher
The Barbie x Stanley collaboration was designed for Barbie’s 65th anniversary, and it actually includes eight (!!) different cups that represent a Barbie era. You can buy the Barbie Icon cup today (the one that I absolutely love by the way) in 40-ounces or 30-ounces (for $50), with the rest of the collection rolling out this week.
On Sept. 17, the 1959 Original 40-ounce Quencher features a chevron print that’s a throwback to the original Barbie in a black-and-white vintage swimsuit. And the ‘60s Twist ‘N Turn 40-ounce Quencher channels its inner dancing queen with a sorbet gradient and tangerine lid-and-straw combo.
On Sept. 18, you can order the ‘70s Superstar 40-ounce Quencher in hot pink and purple, with a pattern of gold stars that represent the iconic Superstar Barbie doll. The ‘80s Dynamite 40-ounce Quencher is designed with rich colors, gold accents, and disco lights to celebrate the first Black Barbie, Dynamite Barbie.
On Sept. 19, the ‘80s Rockers 40-ounce Quencher will be released, inspired by the Barbie and the Rockers dolls and featuring retro graphics and purple and blue shooting stars. The ‘80s Peaches ‘N Cream 40-ounce Quencher has a peach blossom pattern and floral accessories of the Peaches ‘N Cream Barbie.
Finally, a cup for Ken. On Sept. 20, the ‘80s Western Ken 40-ounce Quencher drops, featuring a midnight black cup with silver details that mimics the contrast stitching and silver buckle on Western Ken. His job is just “water.”
These cups are all so beautiful (and are $60 each), and the perfect way to recognize the fellow Barbie Girls in your world. I’m not saying you’ll get shouts of “Hi, Barbie!” everywhere you go, or your hair will always be perfect, or every night will be girls’ night if you get this cup — but I’m also not saying it won’t happen. This new collab is the perfect way to bring a little bit of Barbieland (and the joy, energy, and celebration of female power that Barbie is) with you everywhere you go. And if your day is better for it, then hey, I warned you.
