6. Uggs
These boots serve a fairly obvious, utilitarian purpose: to keep feet warm and snuggly in the cold. (Uggs boots were actually created by an Australian surfer who didn’t like to get chilly feet between waves. Dude.)
The problem came when people started wearing them all the time, everywhere: with t-shirts and shorts, cute dresses — even to weddings. Celebs who helped popularize the sheepskin shoes include Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Moss and Eva Longoria.
And, seriously: It’s not by chance that the name Uggs is so similar to the word “ugly.”
