THE CUT:
“Melissa had a lot of hair, but it was very fine and the length was weighing it down,” Danilo says. He chopped nine inches and added some layers, which lightened the weight and made her hair look thicker.
THE STYLING SECRETS:
To boost fullness, Danilo blew her hair almost dry and added mousse. Then, finishing the blow-dry, he brushed it up and in the opposite direction from root growth (instead of down, which encourages hair to lie flat). For extra height, he separated a section of hair on top of her head, put it in a Velcro roller, and let it set.
THE VERDICT:
“My husband’s only request was to come home ‘sexy not cute,'” she laughs. “For him, this definitely fit the bill.”
