Motorcycles and Parades

The city I live in holds a great parade on the Fourth of July. This year the parade had some fun things to see from the High School marching band, to the Clown club, and to the local Police
department on their Harleys!
I was sitting next to a number of kids during the parade and watched and giggled as they jumped for the candy being thrown their way, often fighting one another for that last piece of bubble gum
lying on the street. But, it was the motorcycles that caught their attention. The police were not throwing candy, but they were revving up their bikes for the crowd who cheered as they
road past. The kids would jump up and down clapping their hands for more! I have to say the motorcycle riders are often the hit of parades. I love how they ride in formation with
their lights flashing and pipes screaming. I love how the crowd will always watch them pass, often giving them the attention no other group in the parade gets!
I’m a grandma!

OK it’s official… I am a Grandma!!! Our little guy came to us on Sunday, July 5th at 6:51 PM eastern time. He weighed in at 8 lbs 7 oz. It seems our little guy isn’t so little! So I am now the Harley riding Grandma. He is absolutely adorable and
I can’t wait to go see him and hold him in my arms.
Many pictures have come in the last 48 hours and he looks cuter in person. He has a full head of hair and yes, as expected it appears that he has Jessica’s nose. We were able to tell that from her
3D sonogram pictures before he was born.
Aunt Kim and Great Grandma went to visit him and Jessica at the hospital yesterday and they both just think he is so precious. Mom and baby are doing well and have gone home today. Jess can’t wait
for us to come home and meet him in person!! Looks like a road trip in the next few weeks! This is all so exciting!
