A New Adventure Today… This Time, With the Guys!

After spending a day
riding with the ladies, it was time to ride with the guys!
My husband and I started off early meeting some friends for Sunday morning breakfast at a traditional biker stop. After we pulled up, about 10-15 other bikes pulled up in separate
small groups. Some were groups of just guys and others were mixes of both guys and gals. Great to see other ladies on the road! I filled up on some very hearty breakfast as the heat outside was
climbing and I knew I would need my energy. Lots of water but that only results in one thing… I was the first one whining about needing a “ladies room” after we started riding! The guys didn’t
mind stopping though as they too needed a rest stop!! LOL
Now we were on our way to check out a spot I never knew about in my five years living in Arizona… the Eloy Municipal Airport has a skydiving school and a place to hang out called
the Bent Prop Saloon. NO ladies, I did not
opt to skydive this day but who knows — maybe on a future visit I will dare to dive!!! It was amazing how fast some of those skydivers come down. I spoke with the girl at the bar about it.
She said you learn to control the jump. You jump from the plane at about 13,000 feet! She is licensed to jump and was trying to get me to opt in! In talking with her I found out she rides with her
friends and is interested in getting her MC license. She made a deal with us that when we jump she will ride with us. So for the sake of having another “lady in the wind” I just may have to start
skydiving!!
After hanging out for a few hours we were off on our ride back home. It was warm out but the ride was a good one. Nothing like getting on your bike and feeling relaxed. The wind in
your face, the scents of nature surrounding you. It was the perfect ending to a great day.
Back in Minnesota

There’s a slight rush one gets when you are close to your destination.
We only had a little over 300 miles to travel this last day and were anxious to get started. There was rain on the radar but it was behind us. We were officially in Minnesota around 8 am. The ride
through the Southwestern section of Minnesota takes you past fields and fields of growing corn. Stopping for gas, we met a group of bikers heading back to their homes in Iowa from a rally in
Northern Minnesota. I felt I was given the nod of “approval” from the women (and the men) in the group we met. They couldn’t believe that I rode all of that distance in only 3 days. They don’t know
me too well…Now in Minnesota, I have some other items to take care of
such as my gardens. Enjoy a photo of my peonies – wish you could smell them!
