Hit the Road with Harley-Davidson

The Inaugural Blog

Greetings from beautiful Arizona! During the course of this blog, it is my intention to provide a window into the motorcycling world. Motorcycling may appear to be a just a mode of transportation or an activity exclusively for big
men with beards and leather vests, but it is so much more. I hope to show you 360 degrees of motorcycling.

When I started riding 15 years ago, there were few women riders. Folks would always toot their horns or wave. It was a very positive experience.

I’ll never forget how excited I was bringing home my Sportster. In those days, my trips were generally riding around town or up and down the New Hampshire coastline. My rides were not very far or
particularly adventurous, as I was often alone, but did I have fun! I became a good rider and gained a lot of confidence. Eventually, a few of my friends got bikes, and we started exploring the
state and the motorcycle lifestyle.

Through motorcycling and the local Harley Owners Group particularly, I have had so many amazing experiences and met many wonderful people who have become like family to me. Motorcycling has
enriched my life so much that I wholeheartedly encourage other women to ride. In this blog, I’m going to give you a glimpse of what it is like to be out on the road on two wheels. Hopefully, you
will look at rain, triple-digit temperatures and motorcyclists waving to one another in a whole new light.
