Balance droopy eyes
I’m not talking hound-dog droopy, I’m talking about slightly downturned outer corners. This look doesn’t age well, so pay attention if this is your sore spot. Have no fear: It’s easy to bring into beautiful balance!
Step 1.Volumize your eyelashes
Your lashes are going to be your hero here, and your lash curler is the trusty sidekick. You must curl your lashes. Always. This is your main line of defense. Apply lash primer to your curled lashes and allow to dry. Really focus on getting the end lashes up and out. Apply three thin coats of mascara to your lashes. Allow the coats to almost dry in between. Work one eye then the other to save time. Give your lashes one last pump once they’re dry to really perk them up.
Step 2: Eyeliner trick
Next, use a dark gray or soft black eyeliner from the middle of the eye to the end. At the outer corner, sweep the liner up toward your temple (not straight toward the tops of your ear). Blend and smooth into the lash line to get the most diffused, natural finish. See what an eye opening lift that gives?
Step 3: Lighter on the lower lid
You would think I suggest leaving the lower lash line bare, so as not to drag the eye down. I’m not a fan of that; I think it looks odd, actually. I suggest giving a touch of structure to the lower lash line with a soft taupe shadow brushed very thinly against the lash line. Use soft brown mascara on lower lashes. This gives the entire eye crispness but leaves the under eye lighter so the interest goes up. Try it, and you’ll see the difference!
Product recommendations: Try Shu Uemura’s lash curler, Vanitymark’s “the PRIME” lash primer and Loreal’s Voluminous mascara in Carbon. I love Josie Maran’s Charcoal eyeliner pencil. A great taupe shadow for the lower lashline is MAC Wedge.
This is a great tip for Britney Spears.
