Tips to decorate a door wreath

1. Go large

When designing a wreath to place on the door, using larger design accents is often preferable. This can create a more attractive look when viewed from the street or sidewalk.

2. Fasten securely

You also want to make sure that all elements of the wreath are securely fastened to the wreath base, since the front door of a home is generally a busy place. A combination of florists wire and wired floral picks works great for attaching materials to almost any kind of wreath base.

3. Attach decorations

If you plan to utilize several different wreaths throughout the year, you can attach your decorative materials in a more permanent fashion, such as using wire or even hot glue. Using one of these hangers eliminates the need for permanently affixing a nail or hanger to the door. Plus, you can always remove the hanger entirely for those occasions where you don’t wish to display a wreath.
