What to wear to work this fall

Hip-length vests

Vests are back in a big way this season and can be worn over just about anything. Consider a long, hip-length vest worn unbuttoned over a body-hugging sweater and flat-front pants. Or you can wear it with a short A-line skirt, tights and ankle boots for trendy workwear.

Anything camel

This fall, camel is the hottest neutral color, worn in everything from coats to equestrian-style pants to booties. Pair camel apparel with black, olive or deep plum. Leave the bright colors at home this season and get into camel instead.

Cut-out booties

Boots, boots and more boots are everywhere for fall, including sexy over-the-knee styles, lace-up motorcycle boots and studded ankle boots. At work, look for short ankle boots or booties with peep-toes and cut-out sides. These boots are perfect to transition from summer to fall — they still show a little skin.

Animal prints

Your office probably isn’t the place for leopardskin leggings or a cheetah-print suede miniskirt, but that doesn’t mean you can’t embrace the animal print trend. Just do it subtly with accessories. An animal print handbag or belt can be the perfect finishing touch to any outfit in your workday wardrobe.
