Slacker Radio might have to change its name now that it’s included on so many devices — it’s hard to be a Slacker when you’re working so hard.
The latest device set to offer Slacker Radio is the new Samsung Galaxy Tab.
What is Slacker Radio?
Slacker Radio, a wildly-popular internet radio application, offers users over 130 programmed radio channels and the ability to create customized stations. The app was initially available on PCs and mobile devices like the iPhone, BlackBerry and Windows 7 phones, but has recently expanded to newer devices.
“Personalized radio is a great way to listen to the music you love without having to work at it,” Dennis Mudd, CEO of Slacker said. “The only problem is that until now, personalized radio has been stuck on the PC. Slacker solves that problem. Now you can just kick back and listen.”
Samsung Galaxy Tab
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is set to T-Mobile stores on Nov. 10. The Slacker Radio app joins the Amazon Kindle application and the Qik video chat app on the Android-based Samsung Galaxy Tab.
The tablet device will also expand to other mobile carriers — Verizon will start selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab on Nov. 11 and Sprint is slated for a Nov. 14 on-sale date.
